Love Them Lashes™ Opens in the Oxygen Salon & Spa in Cherry Creek

September 10, 2012 – Love Them Lashes™ is now in the Denver Metro Area located within the beautiful Oxygen Salon & Spa in Cherry Creek at 300 Josephine Street, Suite 110, Cherry Creek, CO 80206.

Eyelash extensions give you the freedom to look your best from the time you wake up in the morning, until you close your eyes at night.  There is no need to wear mascara, as eyelash extensions are attached to your own natural lashes, one at a time, to provide the fullness and length that you desire.  Styled Eyelash Extensions ‘open up your eyes’ to add luster and to create a bright youthful appearance.Love Them Lashes

Shannon McRae, founder and certified eyelash stylist at Love Them Lashes™, believes that all women deserve to feel beautiful.  She was certified through Xtreme® Lashes, one of the most sought after credentials for eyelash extension professionals in the business.  Before any person can be certified by Xtreme®, they must first go through a rigorous training process and a hands-on training ‘boot camp’.  As an Xtreme® certified stylist, Shannon uses only the best products provided by Xtreme®, the premier eyelash extension company in the World.  Certified Xtreme® Eyelash professionals are the only provider for eyelash extensions for exclusive events such as the Golden Globes, Emmy’s, The Academy Awards, and many other celebrity events.

Many salons have added semi-permanent eyelash extension to their services offered because of the increasing demand for the service by clientele.  But not all of the stylists who perform this service have the experience behind them to do it well.  This is mainly because it is only being done part-time basis by salon staff, many of whom are not even licensed to perform this type of service.  Unfortunately what often results is a poor lash application which not only looks unsightly, but it can ruin your natural lashes as well.

If you have thought about getting lash extensions in the past but were unsure of what the process would entail, you can visit her website at www.lovethemlashes.com and click on the “About” tab to watch a video that explains what to expect about receiving eyelash extensions.  Lash extensions are completely painless and the beautiful results are immediate.

Hurry to take advantage of the current Love Them Lashes ™ specials on eyelash extensions.  Appointments can be booked through the website at www.lovethemlashes.com or by calling (720) 288-0650.  If you have any questions, please call Shannon at (720) 288-0650 and she will be more than happy to assist you.

Summer is the best time for glorious fruits and delicious tastes that can’t be enjoyed any other time of the year.  It is also the best time of the year to enjoy desserts on the porch with the family.  The flip side to that beautiful scenario is the calories, so we’ve found some delicious low calorie desserts that will definitely top the ending of a day!

Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas:  Kids aren’t the only family members that will enjoy this treat, the entire family will!  Peel the bananas, place a popsicle stick in the middle of the fruit, and dip the bananas in melted chocolate and roll in coconut.  Place the bananas on a waxed covered tray and cover and freeze!  These delicious treats only have 100 calories.

Watermelon Slush:  For a great summer slushy whirl up chunks of watermelon with ice, water, lime juice and a little sugar and you have a fantastic treat that is only 48 calories.

Mocha Pops:   These are a great after dinner treat or any time of the day for that matter.  Take about a half cup of hot brewed coffee and whisk four to five tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, in a medium bowl until the sugar has dissolved.  Whisk in a cup of half and half, a quarter of a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.  Divide the mixture into freezer pop molds and insert the sticks and freeze.   These delicious treats are just 100 calories each!

Blueberries with Lemon Cream:   Take four ounces of reduced fat cream cheese and break it up with a fork in a medium bowl.  Take three fourths of a cup of low fat vanilla yogurt and drain off any liquid from the yogurt and add to the bowl.  Add one teaspoon honey beat with an electric mixer at high speed.  Stir in two teaspoons freshly grated lemon zest.  In wineglasses or dessert dishes layer the lemon cream and two cups fresh blueberries.  Refrigerate for eight hours.   This delicious treat is only 156 calories per serving!

Colorado Kids Count Ranking

Hats off, Colorado!  Our great state has ranked 9th in education outcomes.  As part of the Kids Count Data Book that assesses child health, education and economic well-being, throughout the US, Colorado has ranked right up at the top.  While our overall rating is ranked in the 22nd position, our glorious state takes 9th place in education outcomes.

Colorado does fall in the middle range on the list, and our state has suffered a 300% increase in children living in high poverty areas since 2000.  Quality education continues to be a priority for all children, as well as, extending health insurance. The numbers are still concerning and the rapid rise in child poverty is something to be concerned with.

Colorado has taken great measures to help ensure life quality of our children.  Perhaps it is time for more individuals and business owners to get involved, as well, and bring our rankings up to the top in all categories.
