Cherry Creek Mall Hosts its Annual Santa Claws and Paws Event

For the past few years, the Cherry Creek Mall has held a special Santa Claws and Paws event that has been quite popular among residents of the area. With this special event, residents are invited to bring their dogs and cats to the mall to socialize and to show off just how cute their pets really are.

Since the introduction of the Santa Claws and Paws event, it has continued to grow. In fact, this year’s event drew in more than 100 dogs and cats along with their human owners. Although there was no holiday costume contest this year, the owners still dressed their beloved pets up in holiday clothing, including holiday sweaters, bowties, hats and even reindeers.

In addition to enjoying time with pet owners and their adorable pets, participants received a keepsake photo of their pets with Santa. Spending time with Santa at the Cherry Creek Mall is an extra special treat, as many in the area consider the mall’s Santa to be one of the area’s best. Not only are the decorations surrounding the mall’s Santa quite impressive, but Cherry Creek Mall’s Santa is known for being good-natured and for taking the time to make each of his visitors feel special – whether they have four legs or two.

Harry and David Opens Temporary Store at Cherry Creek Mall

Cherry Creek Mall is now how to the temporary holiday store Harry & David. The store, which is officially known as “Harry & David Orchards” sells gourmet foods and gifts that are geared specifically toward holiday shoppers. In addition to featuring pre-made gift boxes, the store also features “create your own” bento boxes, Rogue Creamery artisan cheeses and exclusive wines.

Although the stores are only going to be open on a temporary basis, Chief Executive Officer Steve Heyer hopes the stores will help to create a long-term customer base as customers return to the online store to place orders even after the stores have closed.

Cherry Creek Mall Adds 5 Elite stores

A French boutique, fashionista favorite, self-serve yogurt shop, Sports Authority’s first venture into high-end performance wear, and the shopping center’s first nail salon are expanding Cherry Creek Mall’s selection of stores.

BCBGMAXAZRIA, which has already opened, carries women’s ready-to-wear lines by founding designer Max Azria. Shoppers can choose from evening dresses, swimwear, footwear, handbags and watches, among other items. The store’s name comes from the French phrase “bon chic, bon genre,” which reportedly is Parisian slang for “good style, good attitude.”

Cherry on Top, a self-serve yogurt store, recently opened on the lower level. Posh Nails, the mall’s first nail salon, has opened on the upper level next to Macy’s.

Façonnable, a boutique featuring French Riviera-inspired fashions for men and women and S.A. Elite are both scheduled to open this summer. The Cherry Creek location of S.A. Elite, which Sports Authority designed to meet the needs of elite sports enthusiasts, is the first one to be launched.

The Denver Business Journal reports that the Cherry Creek Mall is the exclusive location for each of the five new stores. They join the mall’s other 37 stores, each of which is exclusive to the Denver area.
